Abstract

The Act regulates provisions on establishment of the Iranian Renewable Energy Organization. Main objective of the Organization is to increase use of renewable energy and improve the energy efficiency through research and development activities, education, consultancy, technical and financial support as well as capacity building. The Organization consists of a General Assembly, a Board of Directors, an Executive Manager and an Inspector. The Renewable Energy Organization is considered as a part of Ministry of Energy and is subject to its general policies and regulations. The Legislation consists of 29 articles divided into 5 chapters; General Provisions and Funding (I); Activities and Duties (II); Structure (III); Financial Statements (IV); Miscellaneous Provisions (V).
