Abstract

The Law establishes the Nangarhar Province’s Agricultural Corporation to support the growth of the agricultural economy, standardize the processed agricultural and livestock products based on the international standards, increase the involvement of the private sectors in agricultural development, and provide financial facilities for agricultural and animal husbandry development. The Law consists of 55 articles, divided into 5 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Capital and Stocks (II); Corporation Formation (III); Financial Affairs (IV); Miscellaneous Provisions (V). To achieve the objectives of this Law, the Corporation is obliged to modify and preserve irrigation system of Nangarhar Province, achieve agricultural development to increase the agricultural products, increase the livestock products, facilitate education and research on agricultural, livestock, and irrigation issues. The initial asset of the Corporation is 500,000,000 Afghani.
