Abstract The main tasks of fishing inspection are: a. protection and reproduction of the stock of fish, fisheries regulation, enforcement of Fisheries regulations and protection of the stock of fish in the inland water basins and control over the observance of fisheries regulations by the Russian fishing vessels in the open sea, whaling regulations, as well as protection of natural resources of the continental shelf.
