The present Regulations enter into force on 29 March 2012.
Abstract

The present Regulations are made under the Planning and Development Act 200. In particular, the purpose of the Statements of Provincial Interest is to: 1) identify provincial interests to guide provincial and municipal planning decisions in the development of safe and secure communities; 2) align provincial and municipal planning objectives to facilitate orderly development that is beneficial to communities; and 3) guide the development of economically, environmentally, socially and culturally sustainable communities.
