The initial inspection shall be in 2020 to determine the requirements of the standard to comply with the international standards, norms, rules and recommendations. This State Standard provides guidance on marking food products produced without using genetic engineering techniques or not containing GMO, with the sign “Contains no GMO”. This Standard shall be applied to food producers and importers. The purposes of labelling are protection of consumer rights by providing comprehensive and accurate information, assisting consumers on conscious consumption and increasing the competitiveness of food products.
