Abstract

State Program "Development of Agriculture and Regulation of Markets of Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Foodstuffs” is a cross-sectoral regional policy document aimed at creating conditions for sustainable development of the agricultural sector and improving the quality of life in rural areas. It shall perform the following tasks: (a) ensuring food security of the region by main types of crop production and increasing the competitiveness of crop production produced by regional agricultural producers; (b) improving the productivity and sustainability of agricultural production and soil fertility by means of integrated land reclamation; (c) ensuring food security of the region by main types of livestock products and increasing the competitiveness of livestock products produced by regional agricultural producers; (d) support and development of agricultural and non-agricultural activities of small forms of management and improving the quality of life in rural areas; (e) ensuring the effective activity of the regional public authorities in the field of agricultural development and regulation of agricultural products, raw materials and food markets; and (f) ensuring the marketing of agricultural products, increasing their marketability by creating conditions for their seasonal storage and partial processing.
