Abstract

State Program "Agricultural Development and Regulation of Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Food Markets” is a cross-sectoral regional policy document aimed at sustainable development of agricultural sectors in the Rostov region; sustainable rural development; and ensuring the effective activity of public authorities in the field of agricultural development. It envisages the performance of the following tasks: (a) creation of conditions for increasing production of agricultural and fishery complexes; (b) creation of conditions for the preservation and reproduction of soil fertility of agricultural land, as well as the restoration and involvement of reclaimed agricultural land in circulation; (c) assistance in improving the quality of life of the rural population, including through improving the infrastructural arrangement of rural territories; and (d) ensuring the effective implementation of the measures of the state program, as well as state powers in the field of agriculture. Expected Results of the State Program: (a) increase in agricultural production and its processed products; (b) increase of the area of reclaimed land; (c) acceleration of technical modernization of agricultural production; (d) increase in the influx of investments in agriculture and fisheries; (e) increase in rural income through wage growth; (f) ensuring the financial stability of agricultural producers by increasing the profitability of production; and (g) improvement of housing conditions and infrastructure in rural areas.
