Abstract

This Act provides with respect to any "State-owned enterprise", i.e. a body listed in Schedule 1 to this Act, so long as it is controlled by the Government. Matters dealt with include: formation, ownership and powers of state-owned enterprises; commercial objectives and planning; administration. The Majuro Atoll Waste Corporation, the Majuro Water and Sewer Company, the Marshall Islands Development Bank, the Marshall Islands Ports Authority, the Marshall Islands Shipping Corporation, the Marshalls Energy Company and the Tobolar Copra Processing Authority are among the enterprises listed in Schedule 1.
