Abstract

The aim of this development instrument is to promote and encourage sustainable agriculture and aquaculture by facilitating the allocation of land between primary production and residential development while having regard to social, economic and environmental considerations and ensuring protection of native vegetation, biodiversity and water resources. The Act is divided in 5 Parts and 6 Schedules (schedule 6 is repealed) and Part 1 covers preliminary provisions.
