Abstract

This Decree places, for reasons of animal health protection and provisions of the Ordinance on Quarantine and the Ordinance on Importation of Small Animals notwithstanding, restrictions on the importation of apes. Import may be carried out only at certain conditions and imported apes may be held in quarantine. The Minister of Public Health may specify countries for which additional import conditions apply. Imported apes may be vaccinated against yellow fever by the appropriate authority.
