The document defines the Water Authority as the person appointed by the Governor in Council to manage the waterworks, control all matters relating thereto, and maintain the existing and new mains and public fittings in Stanley. The Water Authority has power to enter, inspect, repair, lay, connect, disconnect, or alter any pipe, fitting, or appliance related to the water supply, and to diminish, withhold, suspend, or divert the supply of water for various reasons. The document specifies as well the offences and penalties for anyone who pollutes, damages, interferes with, or violates the provisions of the waterworks or the water supply, and empowers the Governor in Council to make regulations for carrying out the provisions of the ordinance.
