Article 1 establishes that the central institution for special waste disposal in Brandenburg is the “SBB Special Waste Company Brandenburg/Berlin” with its headquarters in Potsdam. Such a company has, inter alia the following tasks: the assignment of special waste in special waste disposal places, to ensure a sufficient number of places for special waste disposals, to inform and advice related waste disposals plants about the prevention, re-cycling and elimination of especially hazardous waste.
