Abstract

This Act provides for the establishment of the South Australian Meat Corporation. The Corporation shall have the power to: erect and establish abattoirs on land to be acquired; slaughter stock at the abattoirs and may charge fees for slaughtering and other services; deliver meat of stock slaughtered at the abattoirs to the owners; erect and establish markets for sale of stock; treat meat by canning, dehydration or other processes; etc.
