Abstract This Resolution consisting of 20 articles aims at regulating solid waste management in all its phases by all dealers in a manner that achieves environmental protection and public health. Article 4 establishes the solid waste management hierarchy in such a way as to first of all prevent the creation of solid waste and then manage the waste that has been produced, in the following order (i) preventive measures to prevent waste generation; (ii) preparing for reuse; (iii) recycling; (iv) other methods of recovery, such as energy recovery; and (v) final disposal.
