Abstract Solid Waste Management Strategy for the period of 2019-2028 shall be multisectoral, covering the whole national territory. The Strategy, with a view of domestic solid waste management, transportation, storage, disposal and recycling, pursues the following objectives: (a) development of ecofriendly (clean) infrastructure for the provision of complete sanitation service to the population related to collection and treatment of solid domestic waste; (b) creation of efficient and modern system for domestic solid waste processing; (c) maintenance of domestic solid waste disposal sites; (d) optimization of tariffs in the sphere of sanitary cleaning; (e) the use of solid waste management facilities as alternative sources of energy.
