Abstract

This Act continues in operation the New Brunswick Society for the Prevention of Cruelty under the name of The New Brunswick Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and further provides for its functioning. The Act regulates the activities and powers of animal protection officers, sets rules for inspections and also provides for the seizure of animals, the destruction of animals and related offences. The Act also establishes the Animal Protection Account for the purpose of funding for animal protection.
