The objectives of the Fund are: (I) establishing an efficient, complementary and demand- driven mechanism for delivering basic services and infrastructure to the poor and the needy, (II) financing social assistance, basic infrastructure and small-scale production activities, (III) providing assistance for the improvement of living conditions, promotion of community participation and improvement of infrastructure for health and education, and (IV) providing assistance or employment opportunities to affected persons to alleviate socio-economic adjustment.
