Abstract

This Order, made under section 4 of the Special Crops Act, establishes the Smallholder Tea Authority for purposes of promoting and fostering the development of tea by smallholders in specified districts. “Smallholder” means a person growing not more than 4 hectares of tea on any land whether customary, private or public. The Order also sets out the composition of the Authority.
