Under the Regulation an "eligible generation unit" means a generation unit that exclusively uses sources of renewable or alternative energy, is or will be connected to an electric distribution system for the purpose of supplying electric energy, to the interconnected electric system, or within an isolated community, and has a total nameplate capacity that will not exceed the electric distribution system hosting capacity at the interconnection point.
