Abstract

The present Act establishes a programme to assess the contribution of renewable sources of electricity by providing a 10 and 20 year contract to eligible small power producers who shall co-operate with public utilities, the Minister and the Alberta Utilities Commission. The text consists of 8 sections as follows: Definitions (1); Use of supplementary fuel (2); Allocation of capacity (3); Small power production contract (4); Energy Resources Conservation Board (5); Application of other enactments (6); Duty to co-operate (7); Regulations (8).
