Abstract

Regulations to implement provisions of the Slaughtering Act 1964 and for this purpose providing further rules with respect to slaughterhouse licences, functions and duties of Meat Inspectors and instructions of the Chief Meat Inspector, treatment of diseased meat, seizure of unfit meat, marking of meat, slaughtering in general and handling of carcasses, cleaning of slaughterhouses, washing of utensils, removal of waste, records to be kept in slaughterhouses, etc. The Regulations prescribe also forms for an application for licence for slaughterhouse, a licence for a slaughterhouse and a certificate as a slaughterman, and prescribe fees.
