The present Regulations enter into force on 15 January 2010.
Abstract

The present Regulations enact the Waste Reduction and Recovery Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the establishment of the Single use Retail Bag Programme with a view to waste prevention. The text – consisting of 27 sections – deals with the following aspects: administration of programme and Environment Fund, reporting, prohibitions, applications, amendment, suspension and cancellation, payment of surcharges, appeals and books and records.
