The Act elaborates on the powers of the Mines Committee that serves several key functions, including ensuring fair competition when there are multiple applications for mineral titles or permits, granting licenses and permits in excess of set limits, overseeing compliance with mining laws, setting fee and royalty rates, and assisting the Licensing Authority in its duties under this Act. Chapter III of the Act prescribes for paying royalties, rental and renewal fees, and annual fee. The Act further lays out for mineral production and dispatch, restrictions, violation and punishment, and establishment of a Mines and Mineral Force to prevent illegal mining, reclaim minerals from unauthorized individuals or stockpiles, and enforce the provisions of this Act. Chapter VII provides for registration of mine surveyors and registration of technical persons by the Licensing Authority. The Act consists of 57 Articles divided into 8 Chapters. Full text English
