Abstract

These Regulations provide that article 98(1) of Shipping (Jersey) Law 2002 does not apply to discharges permitted under regulation 15 or 34 of Annex I to the MARPOL Convention or prohibited under regulation 13 of the Shipping (MARPOL) (Jersey) Regulations 2012. It also provides that a fixed or floating platform that is designed or adapted for use at sea is shall be treated as a ship for purposes of certain provisions of the Law or the Shipping (MARPOL) (Jersey) Regulations 2012. Those Regulations are also amended in the definition of "organization".
