Keyword Marine pollution Offences/penalties Geographical area Europe, North Atlantic, Northern Europe Abstract These Regulations provide that article 98(1) of Shipping (Jersey) Law 2002 does not apply to discharges permitted under regulation 15 or 34 of Annex I to the MARPOL Convention or prohibited under regulation 13 of the Shipping (MARPOL) (Jersey) Regulations 2012. It also provides that a fixed or floating platform that is designed or adapted for use at sea is shall be treated as a ship for purposes of certain provisions of the Law or the Shipping (MARPOL) (Jersey) Regulations 2012.
