Abstract

This Act amends the Shipping Act [CAP 53] in section 3A (Paragraph (1)(b)) by inserting after “Vanuatu” (second occurring), “or beyond the limits of Vanuatu”, in subsection 28A(1) replacing “licensed surveyor”, with “licensing officer” and by replacing subsection 28A(3) concerning costs incurred in arranging for a licensing officer to carry out an inspection and survey. Section 28 was inserted by the Shipping (Amendment) Act 2014 and provides with respect to the inspection of imported vessels. Section 3A, also inserted by the Shipping (Amendment) Act 2014, concerns registration and licensing of vessels
