Articles 2 to 4 define the application sphere of this Act. Articles 7 to 26 provide for measurement, registration and certification of ships. The owner of a Korean ship shall decide a port of registry in the Republic of Korea and shall apply to the Regional Maritime of registry in the Republic of Korean having jurisdiction over the port of registry for measuring the gross tonnage of his ship (art. 7).
