It consists of 33 sections and is divided into six Parts. Part 2 states that the Standard Sewerage Law and the Standard Water Supply Law apply to the areas of all local government and have to be administered by local governments. Part 3 regulates the constitution and operation of the Plumbers and Drainers Examination and Licensing Board. The Part also specifies the functions of the Board and the classes of licences that the Board has the power to grant. Part 4 concerns the discharge of prohibited substances and waste that derives from business, trade or manufacturing premises. Part 5 covers legal proceeding related to the Act.
