Abstract

This chapter of the Indiana Code concerns septage management. Specifically, it provides for regulation of wastewater management services providers; actions prohibited without permit and issuance of certain permits by the department; information not required on invoice when wastewater removed from chemical toilet; land application of industrial waste products; adoption of rules concerning permits for septage management and land application, local health agency as board's agent to approve land application sites; revocation or modification of permits, vehicle identification numbers, and approvals; exemptions from requirement to obtain permit or vehicle identification number; notification of upset or imminent threat of upset; and prohibition against discharge of sewage into waters and exception under permit process.
