Abstract

This Law aims to promote the distribution of seeds and seedlings and the breeding of plant varieties. There are provisions relating to the labelling of designated seeds and seedlings (sect. 3) and standards relating to the production of seeds (sect. 5). Section 12 covers registration of a variety and the effects of registration including provisions on application and registration fees. Section 13 refers to the penal provisions of the Act.
