Abstract This Act makes provision for ownership rights in buildings which are divided in sections and in part owned in common ownership. It defines ownership and real rights in or over parts of buildings and land and provides for registration of title to ownership or other real rights in or over such parts. A developer who intends to establish a development scheme must follow procedures as set out in this Act. Owners of sections are jointly owners of the common property in undivided shares proportionate to the participation quotas of their respective sections as specified on the relevant sectional plan. The Act further, among other things, provides for the management of common property and establishes the Sectional Titles Regulation Board. The Board shall advise the Minister on further regulation of sectional titles and related matters.
