It defines duties of a permit holder, i.e. a person to whom a permit to kill seals is issued in terms of section 4 of the Act and members of a sealing team. The Regulations set out procedures for hunting of seals, define inspection powers of officers appointed under the Act, require permit holders to submit statistics on taking of seals and prohibit the feeding of seals without a permit.
