Abstract

These Regulations amend the Sea Pollution (Control of Pollution by Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk) Regulations 2008 so as to effectively implement amendments, contained in Resolution MEPC.270(69) adopted on 22 April 2016 by the Marine Environment Protection Committee of the International Maritime Organization, regarding the revised GESAMP Hazard Evaluation Procedure in Appendix I to Annex II of MARPOL 73/78. The Schedule to the principal Regulations is replaced by a new Schedule.
