Abstract

The effect of this Order is to provide for the prohibition of gill net fishing for tuna and other species. The master, owner, charterer or hirer of an Irish sea-fishing boat or foreign fishing boat as the case may be, shall comply with rules laid down in Council Regulation (EC) No. 894/97.
