Abstract

These Regulations of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture provide for the implementation of certain EU obligations that apply to the Island in respect of the control of marketing of first sale fish. The Regulations make provision for the registration by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture of sellers and buyers of first sale fish. Regulations 6 and 9 require registered fish sellers and registered fish buyers to maintain records of their sales and purchases of first sale fish. The Regulations provide offences for the purposes of the enforcement of these requirements and also provide offences in relation to the sale and purchase of first sale fish.
