They set out requirements to keep log books and declarations in electronic format. The master shall ensure that the fishing boat does not leave port without there being on board a fully operational electronic recording and reporting system. The Regulations also concern reporting in the event of a technical failure or non-functioning of the electronic recording and reporting system on a fishing boat.
