Abstract

The purpose of this Act is to prescribe matters necessary to promote the salt industry and control salt quality so as to encourage the development of the salt industry and strengthen the competitiveness thereof and to supply high quality salt and its processed products to citizens, thereby contributing to the development of the national economy and the improvement of citizens’ quality of life. In particular, a Salt Industry Promotion Council shall be established under the control of the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries to deliberate on matters concerning the promotion of the salt industry as listed in article 6. The text consists of 66 articles.
