Part 2 contains provisions concerning rural fire brigades and groups of rural fire brigades. The Part requires them to have a constitution; prescribes the content of the Constitution and the form; membership, including probation, removal and appeal; disciplinary action; etc. Part 3 regulates Bush Fire Management Committees; Committee must not be incorporated, or be a committee of a council under the Local Government Act 1993 and has the function to assist the Bush Fire Co-ordinating Committee (Section 51 of the Rural Fires Act 1997, the Act).
