Abstract For the purpose of implementing the provisions of the Rural Fires Act 1997, this Regulation concerns the following: (a) constitution and membership of rural fire brigades; (b) discipline of officers and members of rural fire brigades and groups of rural fire brigades; (c) constitution, membership and procedure of Bush Fire Management Committees; (d) fire prevention; (e) giving of notices required under the Act; (f) voluntary work that may be undertaken by rural fire brigades; (g) issue of penalty notices; (h) conditions of fire permits; (I) identification of members of the Service and bravery and other awards.
