It spells out functions of the Authority in addition to those indicated in the Act, among them: to consult, and liaise with persons about farm business assessments, dairy farmers, organizations representing the interests of persons likely to receive assistance under the Act, commercial lenders and financial advisers, and public sector units with the function of helping the rural and small business sectors of the economy, and equivalent entities of other States or the Commonwealth; and to certify that compliant farm business assessments have been carried out in accordance with the Dairy Produce Act 1986 scheme.
