Abstract

The present Rules are made under the Canada Agricultural Products Act. In particular, the Rules apply to the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal. The Tribunal acts to balance the rights of Canadians with the protection of health and well-being of Canadian consumers and the economic vibrancy of Canadian agriculture and agri-food industries. Members of the public may seek a review of certain agriculture and agri-food violations before the Tribunal. The text consists of 45 sections divided into 3 Parts as follows: Rules of general application (1); Review of board decisions (2); Review relating to administrative monetary penalties (3).
