The Rules have become effective on 18 September 1979.
Abstract

These Rules are formulated in order to safeguard ports and coastal waters, ensure the safety of navigation and prevent the pollution of waters. They are divided into the following Chapters: Port Entry and Exit and Navigation (I); Berthing (II); Signals and Communication (III); Dangerous Goods (IV); Safeguard of Navigation Lanes (V); Prevention of Pollution (VI); Fire Control and Rescue (VII); Accidents of Damages at Sea (VIII); Punishments on Contravention of Regulations (IX); Supplementary Provisions (X).
