These Rules enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

These Rules amend the Rules for the Manufacture, Use, Import, Export and Storage of Hazardous Micro-organisms Genetically Engineered Organisms or Cells 1989 by, in pursuance of rule 20, exempting from the provisions of rules 7 to 11 an occupier of processed food derived from living modified organisms specified in the Table attached to the Rules.
