Abstract The Qiongzhou Strait is an inland sea of the People's Republic of China, whose area is delimited in article 3 of the present Rules, and which is closed to all military vessels of foreign nationality. These Rules establish the procedure to be followed and the formalities to which non-military foreign vessels are subject when passing through the Strait, i. E.: approval by the Qiongzhou Strait Administrative Office, reporting on the characteristics of the ship (ship's name, nationality, gross tonnage, speed, etc.), reporting of the date of arrival and departure.
