All the waterbodies located on the national territory shall be subject to protection against pollution, water clogging and exhaustion. This Instruction regulates effluent waste water discharge, and also discharge of drainage and land reclamation water. It also regulates various types of economic activity, including construction of waterworks that can make unfavourable impact on the state of surface water. Water protection arrangements shall include: (a) setting water quality standards; (b) regulation of effluent waste water discharge; (c) regulation of economic activities; (d) organization of coastal water protection zones; (e) preventive arrangements against water pollution; (f) registration and processing of information; and (g) prosecution for the infringement of regulations and requirements related to protection of waterbodies.
