Abstract This Order sets forth basal guidelines for the regulation of fishing with motor fishing vessels using dragnets. New motor fishing vessel and requirements for engines are described in articles 1 to 5. Requirements for obtaining a fishing licence are detailed in articles 6 to 8. Measures of nets and mesh sizes are specified in article 9. Articles 10 to 12 deal with general and specific prohibitions as well as with closed seasons; prevalent provisions are i) the prohibition on the use of this fishing gear during June, July, August and September and ii) no trawling within one (1) nautical mile from the coastline.
