This Royal Decree enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Royal Decree establishes and regulates the Omani company for the protection from marine pollution and it also identifies the managing bodies. The purposes of this company are: to collect and dispose of the waste oil from ships, whether in ports or in territorial waters, through floating facilities; to reduce the pollution of beaches; to cover the import and storage of equipments and devices; to insure from technical damages that could occur to the devices used; to collaborate with the emergency services; and to sell oils extracted during anti-pollution operations.
