Abstract This Royal Decree issues the Law on the protection of new plant varieties. The provisions of this Law are applicable to the propagation types and components for the production of plants. The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries shall decide the fees for the applications, certificates and licences related to plants breeding. The Law defines the breeder’s right, their assignment and duration, the application and the registration procedures for the breeder’s right holder.
