Abstract This Royal Decree is composed of 3 articles. Article 1 defines the area in the enclosed attachment as a nature reserve entitled “Omani Botanic Garden” belonging to the Diwan of Royal Court. The competent authorities are to expropriate land and buildings in order to establish the botanic garden in accordance with the provisions of the law of expropriation for public use (Royal Decree No. 64 of 1978). Without prejudicing the provisions of Royal Decree No. 6 of 2003 Issuing The Law On Nature Reserves And Wildlife Conservation, the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court is to practice all the powers appointed to a Minister and Councils mentioned in this Law regarding the said botanic garden, and to issue implementing Regulations and Decisions for this Decree in coordination with the relevant parties.
