Abstract

This Proclamation approves and applies to Sweden rules regarding fishing in the river Torne contained in Annex B of the Agreement regarding boundary rivers concluded between Sweden and Finland on 16 September 1971. These rules are reproduced in the Schedule to this Proclamation. The rules divide the boundary river Torne in various areas and concern use of fishing gear, close seasons, prohibition of fishing for selected species, powers of the Boundary Rivers Commission established by the Agreement, powers of enforcement of Swedish officers and offences. The Agreement concerns also fishing in fisheries protection zones at the mouth of the river Torne.
