Abstract These Regulations implement the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914 by providing specifications on procedures to apply for: permits authorizing the obstruction, destruction or interference of any watercourse, drain flowing through or over land, or any dam or reservoir; licences for the taking of water from watercourses; and licences for the commencement or construction of an artesian well or a non artesian well or for the enlargement, deepening or altering of an existing well.
